Kitty Spencer and Puerto Banus’ 50th

British aristocrat is the ‘face’ of Puerto Banús’ celebrations.

The Puerto Banús management company has selected Lady Kitty Spencer, niece of Princess Diana, to be the ‘face’ of the famous marina during its 50th birthday celebrations.

It is hoped the young aristocrat, daughter of Earl Spencer and his first wife, will attract a younger and more international audience to the Costa del Sol during the port’s anniversary year.

Kitty Spencer, who is 29, is already a well-known model, as well as being an important influencer. It is hoped that her fashion icon profile will help to boost the appeal of the luxury stores in Puerto Banús, especially with those under 30, and an advertising campaign featuring her is due to launch in Marbella at the end of February.

The young aristocrat, who launched her modelling career in 2015, was appointed as the face of Bulgari in 2018, and she has been associated with a number of other world-leading brands, including Dolce & Gabbana. The fact that Kitty is also the niece of the late Princess Diana adds another dimension to the appeal that she brings, as her aunt was considered one of the world’s leading style icons, as well as a frequent visitor to Marbella.

The port’s management company also has a number of other events planned throughout the year, most of them featuring the luxury brands that the marina is known for, including Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Ferragamo, Gucci, Hermes, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton and many more.

Last year, Puerto Banús was named the most exclusive marina in Europe by a leading international property firm, and this year it is hoped that the numerous events celebrating its 50th birthday will remind people of the contribution that the port has made to the modern image of Marbella, and its role as a magnet for UHNW people, a reputation it has enjoyed since first opening in 1970.
